Oklahoma has a large number of preventive and control\n\nmeasures and works of improvement that are operated and maintained\n\nby conservation districts and their assigns throughout the state.\n\nThese preventive and control measures and works of improvement\n\ninclude, but are not limited to, flood control dams, erosion control\n\npractices, and channels constructed with the assistance of the\n\nUnited States Department of Agriculture (USDA) through USDA’s\n\nwatershed programs.\n\nB. Pursuant to the Conservation District Act, the phrase\n\n“operation and maintenance” or “operate and maintain” as used in a\n\nvariety of contractual documents, easements, statutes, rules, and\n\nother legal authority by the conservation districts and their\n\nassigns shall be interpreted to:\n\n1. Encompass the terms repair, modification, alteration,\n\nrehabilitation, upkeep, upgrade, improvement, construction,\n\nreconstruction, decommission, and inspection; and\n\n2.
