The Oklahoma Conservation Commission shall implement a\n\nstatewide plan for the control, removal, and eradication of harmful\n\nwoody species on state-owned, -leased, or -operated land.\n\nB. On or before January 1, 2026, a report shall be compiled and\n\npresented to the Commission from the Oklahoma Department of\n\nAgriculture, Food, and Forestry, the Commissioners of the Land\n\nOffice, the Department of Wildlife Conservation, the Department of\n\nCorrections, the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department, the\n\nDepartment of Transportation, and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority\n\nwith a comprehensive report to determine the affected inventory and\n\nsubsequent plan to control, remove, or eradicate harmful woody\n\nspecies from state-owned, -leased, or -operated properties. The\n\nCommission shall assist in the administration of the agency’s plan\n\nand develop any necessary programs to expand the capabilities of\n\neach agency’s approach to control, remove, or eradicate harmful\n\nwoody specifies.\n\nC. The agencies specified in subsection B of this section shall\n\nelectronically submit to the Legislature an annual report by\n\nNovember 1, 2026, and each subsequent year by November 1, detailing\n\nthe progress of the control, removal, and eradication of harmful\n\nwoody species on state-owned, -leased, or -operated land.\n\nD. As used in this section, “harmful woody species” means a\n\ntree or shrub species that is rapidly encroaching into adjoining\n\nlands and is likely to cause harm to the environment or economy.\n\nHarmful woody species include, but are not limited to, Juniperus\n\nvirginiana (Eastern Redcedar), Juniperus scopulorum (Rocky Mountain\n\njuniper), Juniperus monosperma (oneseed juniper), and Tamarix\n\nramosissima (salt cedar).\n\nE.
