When the Department of Wildlife Conservation receives notice\n\nof the suspension of the hunting, trapping, or fishing privileges of\n\na person by a participating issuing state as set forth in the\n\nInterstate Wildlife Violator Compact, the Department shall determine\n\nwhether the violation leading to the suspension could have led to\n\nthe forfeiture of privileges under the law of this state. If the\n\nDepartment determines that the privileges of the person could have\n\nbeen forfeited, the Department may suspend the privileges to hunt,\n\ntrap, or fish in this state of the person for the same period as\n\nimposed by the participating state not to exceed the maximum limits\n\nallowed by state law.\n\nB. When the Department receives notice of a conviction of a\n\nstate resident from the licensing authority of the participating\n\nissuing state, the Department may treat the conviction as if it had\n\noccurred in this state and shall determine whether the conviction\n\ncould have led to the forfeiture of the hunting, trapping, or\n\nfishing privileges of the resident under state law. If the\n\nDepartment determines that the privileges of the resident could have\n\nbeen forfeited, the Department may suspend the privileges of the\n\nresident to hunt, trap, or fish in this state for the same period as\n\nthe issuing state, not to exceed the limit that could have been\n\nimposed under state law.\n\nC. Notice of the suspension shall be sent to the person, who\n\nshall surrender any current Oklahoma hunting, trapping, or fishing\n\nlicenses to the Department within ten (10) days.\n\nD. A person whose privileges have been suspended and who hunts,\n\ntraps, or fishes in this state, who applies for or purchases any\n\nlicenses or permits to hunt, trap, or fish in this state, or who\n\nrefuses to surrender any current hunting, trapping, or fishing\n\nlicenses as required pursuant to this section shall be guilty of a\n\nmisdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not less than One\n\nHundred Dollars ($100.00) or more than Five Hundred Dollars\n\n($500.00).","path":["OK Code","Title 29"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os29.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"37ce9fb6ea429e74a48c6b159f9110ec5c14273c6cbdd1abb744dedfdc6ca0a1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-10-102","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-10-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
