Stat. tit. 29, § 29-3-201","heading":"Game wardens - Enforcement of laws - Operation of","body":"certain vehicles and vessels - Refusal to stop - Bribes.\n\nA. All things being equal, veterans of World War II, the\n\nKorean, the Vietnam and Persian Gulf Wars shall be appointed as game\n\nwardens when vacancies occur.\n\nB. All persons appointed game wardens shall be peace officers\n\nand have the full powers of peace officers of the State of Oklahoma\n\nin the enforcement of the provisions of this Code and are authorized\n\nto:\n\n1. Enforce all state laws on Department-owned or Department-\n\nmanaged lands;\n\n2. Enforce all other laws of this state;\n\n3. Make arrests for wildlife conservation violations and\n\nnonconservation-related crimes with the same power and authority as\n\nsheriffs are vested with and in cooperation with other law\n\nenforcement officers and agencies;\n\n4. Take into possession any and all protected wildlife, or any\n\npart thereof, killed, taken, shipped or in any possession contrary\n\nto the law, and the wildlife or parts thereof may be disposed of as\n\ndetermined by the Director or any court of competent jurisdiction;\n\n5. Make a complaint and cause proceedings to be commenced\n\nagainst any person for violation of any of the laws for the\n\nprotection and propagation of wildlife, with the sanction of the\n\nprosecuting or district attorney of the county in which the\n\nproceedings are brought, and shall not be required to give security\n\nfor costs;\n\n6. Be an authorized agent of the Commission or Department under\n\nSection 3-202 of this title in addition to duties as a game warden;\n\nand\n\n7. Assist in enforcement of the state fire laws, upon request\n\nof the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry.\n\nC. 1. Pursuant to the provisions of this subsection, a game\n\nwarden may operate a vehicle owned or leased by the Department upon\n\na roadway during the hours of darkness without lighted headlamps,\n\nclearance lamps, or other illuminating devices. As used in this\n\nparagraph, \"roadway\" shall include any street or highway in this\n\nstate except an interstate highway, a limited access highway, a\n\nstate trunk highway, or any street or highway within the limits of\n\nan incorporated area.\n\n2. Pursuant to the provisions of this subsection, a game warden\n\nmay operate a vessel upon any waters of this state during the hours\n\nof darkness without the illuminating devices required by Section\n\n4207 of Title 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\n3. A game warden may operate a vehicle or vessel without the\n\nilluminating devices specified in this subsection only if the\n\noperation:\n\na. is made in the performance of the duties of the game\n\nwarden pursuant to the provisions of the Code, and\n\nb. (1) will aid in the accomplishment of a lawful arrest\n\nfor any violation of the Code or any rule or\n\nregulation promulgated thereto, or\n\n(2) will aid in ascertaining whether a violation of\n\nthe Code or any rule or regulation promulgated\n\nthereto has been or is about to be committed.\n\nD. Any person who refuses to stop a vehicle or boat when\n\nrequested to do so by a game warden in the performance of the duties\n\nof the game warden is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction is\n\npunishable by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)\n\nnor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).\n\nE. Any game warden who solicits or accepts any bribe or money\n\nor other thing of value in connection with the performance of duty\n\nas a game warden shall be guilty of a Class C2 felony offense and,\n\nupon conviction, shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment as\n\nprovided for in subsections B through F of Section 20M of Title 21\n\nof the Oklahoma Statutes and shall be summarily removed from office.\n\nF. Pursuant to the provisions of subsection B of this section\n\nand the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Code, a game warden shall not\n\nhave authority to use or place a game or wildlife camera on private\n\nproperty without the permission of the owner or controller of the\n\nTitle 21\n\nof the Oklahoma Statutes and shall be summarily removed from office.\n\nF.
