Stat. tit. 29, § 29-3-303","heading":"Acquisition of property - Payments in lieu of tax","body":"payments.\n\nA. The Commission may acquire, by purchase, gift, grants,\n\ngrant-in-aid from the federal government, or from any other source\n\npublic or private, all property or money necessary, useful or\n\nconvenient for its use in carrying out the objects and purposes of\n\nthis Code.\n\nB. Any and all gifts, grants, royalties and rentals received by\n\nthe Commission shall, however, be allocated and used in the same\n\nmanner as Wildlife Conservation Funds, except that gifts given for\n\nspecified purposes by the donor shall be used for such specified\n\npurposes.\n\nC. On any land acquired by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation\n\nCommission pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Wildlife\n\nConservation Code, after the effective date of this act, the\n\nCommission shall annually make in lieu of tax payments equal to the\n\naverage ad valorem tax per acre paid on similar land in that county.\n\nSaid payments shall be made from any funds created in or pursuant to\n\nthe authority granted by the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Code.\n\nThe payments shall be made by the Commission within sixty (60) days\n\nfrom receipt of an itemized statement from the county treasurer of\n\nthe county in which the land is located.\n\nD. The provisions of subsection C of this section shall be\n\napplicable to any lands acquired by or on behalf of the Oklahoma\n\nWildlife Conservation Commission pursuant to Section 5 of this act\n\nand the Oklahoma Capitol Improvement Authority may enter into such\n\nagreements with the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission as may\n\nbe required for the Commission to make such in lieu payments with\n\nrespect to real property title to which is held by the Oklahoma\n\nCapitol Improvement Authority until title is transferred to the\n\nCommission as provided by Section 5 of this act.","path":["OK Code","Title 29"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os29.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"82415acc79d57c7e5f3457a4135b13713cb14774ad7f56123d0f6def5d745f1b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-3-302","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-3-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
