No person may trap any furbearers without having first\n\nprocured a license from the Director. A furbearer trapping license\n\nmay be issued only to persons holding a hunting license applicable\n\nto their residency.\n\nB. Persons excepted from the license requirements of this\n\nsection are:\n\n1. Persons holding a resident lifetime hunting license or\n\nlifetime combination hunting and fishing license issued pursuant to\n\nSection 4-114 of this title; and\n\n2. Resident owners or tenants or the children of an owner or\n\ntenant, who trap on land owned or leased by the owner or tenants.\n\nC. The fees for a license under this section shall be:\n\n1. For residents:\n\na. Nine Dollars ($9.00) for the use of twenty traps or\n\nless, and\n\nb. Sixty-eight Dollars and fifty cents ($68.50) for a\n\nprofessional trapper, defined as a person using more\n\nthan twenty traps; and\n\n2. For nonresidents, Three Hundred Forty-five Dollars\n\n($345.00).\n\nD. All licenses issued pursuant to this section shall expire on\n\nthe last day of February of each year.\n\nE. Any person convicted of violating the provisions of\n\nsubparagraph a of paragraph 1 of subsection C of this section shall\n\nbe punished by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00)\n\nnor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).\n\nF. Any person convicted of violating the provisions of\n\nsubparagraph b of paragraph 1 of subsection C of this section shall\n\nbe punished by the imposition of a fine of not less than One Hundred\n\nDollars ($100.00) nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) or by\n\nimprisonment in the county jail for a period not to exceed six (6)\n\nmonths, or by both said fine and imprisonment.\n\nG.
