Except during deer gun seasons, a landowner, agricultural\n\nlessee, or their designated agent with written permission from the\n\nlandowner or agricultural lessee may control nuisance or damage by\n\ncoyotes or feral swine without a permit as provided for in Section\n\n4-135 of Title 29 of the Oklahoma Statutes during the day or night,\n\nand without limitation by statewide season regulations or bag\n\nlimits, and with the use of any legal means of take, to protect\n\nmarketable agricultural crops, livestock or processed feed, seed, or\n\nother materials used in the production of an agricultural commodity.\n\nLandowners or agricultural lessees performing nuisance control\n\nactivities shall be required to have a current agricultural\n\nexemption permit issued by the Oklahoma Tax Commission.\n\nB. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 5-203.1 of Title\n\n29 of the Oklahoma Statutes, a landowner, agricultural lessee, or\n\ndesignated agent of the landowner or lessee may use a headlight,\n\nthermal, or light enhancement device carried on the person, a\n\nvehicle with or without a mounted spotlight or night vision\n\nequipment while controlling nuisance coyotes and feral swine at\n\nnight. Nothing in this subsection shall authorize the use of a\n\nheadlight, thermal or night vision equipment, or a spotlight from a\n\npublic roadway.\n\nC. Any person who has been convicted of, or pleads guilty to, a\n\nviolation of Section 5-203.1 of Title 29 of the Oklahoma Statutes or\n\nSection 5-411 of Title 29 of the Oklahoma Statutes within a previous\n\nthree-year period shall not control nuisance or damage by coyotes or\n\nferal swine at night.","path":["OK Code","Title 29"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os29.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bee207a40c1b410279075637c942921516214a14c086dbabf9a9d7c8bbf3ad70","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-4-135.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-4-136"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
