Any hunting or fishing license issued to a person by the\n\nDepartment of Wildlife Conservation shall be automatically revoked\n\non final conviction of the person of an offense under subsection J\n\nof Section 5-202 of this title. The revocation shall be for a\n\nperiod set by the court of not less than one (1) year or more than\n\nten (10) years. If the court does not set a period, the revocation\n\nshall be for one (1) year from the date the conviction becomes\n\nfinal. During this period of revocation, the Department shall not\n\nissue that person a hunting or fishing license. If the court does\n\nnot set a period, the Department shall not issue that person a\n\nlicense before the first anniversary of the date the conviction\n\nbecomes final.\n\nB. A person who has a license or permit revoked under this\n\nsection shall surrender the revoked license or permit to the court,\n\nor the court may order the defendant to surrender the license or\n\npermit directly to an officer from the Department of Wildlife\n\nConservation present at the hearing. If the license or permit is\n\nsurrendered to the court, the court shall send the Department of\n\nWildlife Conservation the revoked license. The court shall also\n\nsend the Department a copy of the judgment of conviction. In lieu\n\nof sending a paper copy of the documents and information required by\n\nthis subsection, the court clerk may transmit the conviction\n\ninformation by using an electronic method authorized by the\n\nDepartment of Wildlife Conservation.\n\nC.
