The use of crossbows and conventional longbows with a device\n\nthat permits the bow to be held mechanically at full or partial\n\ndraw, shall be a legal hunting method during any open season when\n\nconventional longbows are a legal means of take.\n\nB. The use of air bows shall be a legal hunting method during\n\nany open season when rifles are a legal means of take. No person\n\nmay hunt or take during the open season with an air bow unless the\n\nperson has first obtained a stamp issued by the Oklahoma Wildlife\n\nConservation Commission for a one-time fee of Twenty Dollars\n\n($20.00).\n\nC. At such time as the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Act\n\nis amended to expand the excise tax on sporting arms and ammunition\n\nto include air bows and air guns, the stamp pursuant to subsection B\n\nof this section shall no longer be required, and authorization for\n\nthe continual use of air bows as a legal means of take shall be\n\nestablished by rules promulgated by the Commission.","path":["OK Code","Title 29"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os29.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e4fd027192d420a458a168c5a09b3a38be20c6079ae7d992f1f4f63b7dfd9c1c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-5-212","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-5-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
