Any taxidermist may sell any unclaimed specimen left in his\n\nor her possession in excess of six (6) months following notification\n\nby telephone that the specimen is completed provided that such\n\nperson complies with the following requirements:\n\n1. Each taxidermist shall keep on file the name, address,\n\nhunting license number, and any other information as may be required\n\nby the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation relating to the\n\nowner of the unclaimed specimen;\n\n2. Each taxidermist shall provide to the hunter who brings in a\n\nspecimen a form to read as follows: \"When your specimen is\n\nfinished, you will be notified by telephone that your specimen is\n\nready for pick up. If you do not pick up and pay any balances on\n\nyour specimen within six (6) months after that call, Oklahoma law\n\nallows taxidermists to sell any unclaimed specimen to recover costs\n\nin preparing the specimen.\"; and\n\n3. Each taxidermist may sell the unclaimed specimen for an\n\namount not to exceed the original price for mounting, preserving,\n\ntanning, or otherwise preparing the unclaimed specimen and any cost\n\nfor notification, and shall only sell the unclaimed specimen to\n\nlegal residents of Oklahoma.\n\nB.
