Excluding furbearers and coyotes, no person may capture,\n\nkill, mutilate or destroy any wildlife protected by law and remove\n\nthe head, claws, teeth, hide, antlers, horns or any or all of such\n\nparts from the body with the intent to abandon the body.\n\nB. Excluding furbearers and coyotes, no person may capture or\n\nmutilate any living wildlife protected by law by removing the claws,\n\nteeth, hide, antlers, horns or any or all of such parts from the\n\nbody.\n\nC. No person may kill any wildlife protected by law and abandon\n\nthe body without disposing of the body in the most appropriate\n\nmanner.\n\nD. Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this\n\nsection shall be punished by a fine of not less than Five Hundred\n\nDollars ($500.00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or\n\nby imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one (1) year,\n\nor by both fine and imprisonment.\n\nE. Any hunting or fishing license issued to a person by the\n\nDepartment of Wildlife Conservation shall be automatically revoked\n\nupon conviction of the person of violating the provisions of this\n\nsection. The revocation shall be for a period set by the court of\n\nnot less than one (1) year nor more than ten (10) years. If the\n\ncourt does not set a period, the revocation shall be for one (1)\n\nyear from the date of the conviction. During this period of\n\nrevocation, the Department shall not issue the person a hunting or\n\nfishing license. If the court does not set a revocation period, the\n\nDepartment shall not issue that person a license within one (1) year\n\nof the conviction of the person pursuant to this section. A person\n\nwho has a license or permit revoked pursuant to this section shall\n\nsurrender the revoked license or permit to the court, or the court\n\nmay order the defendant to surrender the license or permit directly\n\nto an officer from the Department of Wildlife Conservation present\n\nat the hearing. If the license or permit is surrendered to the\n\ncourt, the court shall send the Department of Wildlife Conservation\n\nthe revoked license. The court shall also send the Department a\n\ncopy of the judgment of conviction. For purposes of this section,\n\n“conviction” shall include a plea of guilty or nolo contendere to an\n\noffense or the imposition of deferred adjudication for an offense.\n\nIn lieu of sending a paper copy of the documents and information\n\nrequired by this subsection, the court clerk may transmit the\n\nconviction information by using an electronic method authorized by\n\nthe Department of Wildlife Conservation.","path":["OK Code","Title 29"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os29.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"71fefc533f0739b23a99a2b3b558f48871a262614df425b5fbeb41987474e449","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-7-204","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-29-29-7-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
