Stat. tit. 3, § 3-102","heading":"Airport hazards contrary to public interest","body":"\n\nIt is hereby found that an airport hazard endangers the lives\n\nand property of users of the airport and of occupants of land in its\n\nvicinity, and also, if of the obstruction type, in effect reduces\n\nthe size of the area available for the landing, taking off and\n\nmaneuvering of aircraft, thus tending to destroy or impair the\n\nutility of the airport and the public investment therein.\n\nAccordingly, it is hereby declared: (a) that the creation or\n\nestablishment of an airport hazard is a public nuisance and an\n\ninjury to the community served by the airport in question; (b) that\n\nit is therefore necessary in the interest of the public health,\n\npublic safety, and general welfare that the creation or\n\nestablishment of airport hazards be prevented. It is further\n\ndeclared that both the prevention of the creation or establishment\n\nof airport hazards and the elimination, removal, alteration,\n\nmitigation, or marking and lighting of existing airport hazards are\n\npublic purposes for which political subdivisions and the Commission\n\nmay raise and expend public funds and acquire land or property\n\ninterests therein.","path":["OK Code","Title 3"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os3.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"84db5a47c2fa4f251f9fce13d9ad3f27ceaebb54eedf22000da527d166062b14","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-101","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-102.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
