Stat. tit. 3, § 3-253","heading":"Aircraft - Exemptions","body":"The following aircraft are exempt from provisions of Section 251\n\net seq. of this title:\n\n1. Aircraft manufactured under a Federal Aviation\n\nAdministration approved type certificate which are owned and in the\n\nphysical possession of the manufacturers as provided in subsection D\n\nof Section 254 of this title;\n\n2. Aircraft owned by charitable organizations and used solely\n\nfor the furtherance of charitable purposes;\n\n3. Aircraft belonging to nonresidents of this state and\n\nregistered in another state;\n\n4. Aircraft of the federal government, any agency thereof, any\n\nterritory or possession thereof, any state government or agency or\n\npolitical subdivision thereof, any aircraft of the Civil Air Patrol\n\nused solely in transaction of official business by a unit of the\n\nCivil Air Patrol;\n\n5. Aircraft licensed by a foreign country with which the United\n\nStates has a reciprocal agreement covering the operation of such\n\nlicensed aircraft; and\n\n6.
