Stat. tit. 3, § 3-351","heading":"Short title – Space Flight Liability and Immunity Act –","body":"Definitions.\n\nA. This act shall be known and may be cited as the \"Space\n\nFlight Liability and Immunity Act\".\n\nB. As used in the Space Flight Liability and Immunity Act:\n\n1. \"Launch vehicle\" means a vehicle built to operate in, or\n\nplace a payload or humans in, outer space;\n\n2. \"Participant\" means an individual space flight participant,\n\nwho is not an employee of the space flight entity, carried within a\n\nlaunch vehicle or reentry vehicle;\n\n3. \"Participant injury\" means any bodily injury, including\n\ndeath, emotional injury, or property damage sustained by the\n\nparticipant;\n\n4. \"Reentry vehicle\" means a vehicle designed to return from\n\nEarth orbit or outer space to Earth, or a reusable launch vehicle\n\ndesigned to return from Earth orbit or outer space to Earth,\n\nsubstantially intact;\n\n5. \"Space flight activities\" means:\n\na. launch activities involved in the preparation of a\n\nlaunch vehicle, payload, crew, crew training, or space\n\nflight participant for launch,\n\nb. reentry activities involved in the preparation of a\n\nreentry vehicle and payload, crew, crew training, or\n\nspace flight participant, if any, for reentry, or\n\nc. the conduct of a launch or a reentry; and\n\n6. \"Space flight entity\" means any public or private entity\n\nholding, either directly or through a corporate subsidiary or\n\nparent, a license, permit, or other authorization issued by the\n\nUnited States Federal Aviation Administration pursuant to the\n\nCommercial Space Launch Activities chapter (51 U.S.C.
