Stat. tit. 3, § 3-65.16v1","heading":"Public purpose, county and municipal purpose","body":"The acquisition of any land or interest therein pursuant to this\n\nact, the planning, acquisition, establishment, development,\n\nconstruction, improvement, maintenance, equipment, operation,\n\nregulation, protection and policing of airports, vertiports, and air\n\nnavigation facilities, including the acquisition or elimination of\n\nairport hazards, and the exercise of any other powers herein granted\n\nto municipalities and other public agencies, to be severally or\n\njointly exercised, are hereby declared to be public and governmental\n\nfunctions, exercised for a public purpose, and matters of public\n\nnecessity; and in the case of any county, are declared to be county\n\nfunctions and purposes as well as public and governmental; and in\n\nthe case of any municipality other than a county, are declared to be\n\nmunicipal functions and purposes as well as public and governmental.\n\nAll land and other property and privileges acquired and used by or\n\non behalf of any municipality or other public agency in the manner\n\nand for the purposes enumerated in this act shall and are hereby\n\ndeclared to be acquired and used for public and governmental\n\npurposes and as a matter of public necessity, and, in the case of a\n\ncounty or municipality, for county or municipal purposes,\n\nrespectively.","path":["OK Code","Title 3"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os3.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bdd666e3f714ab8857c1284cadad763ea3b15d8cf022e515b5414e9653b4cd18","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-65.16","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-65.16v2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
