Stat. tit. 3, § 3-65.1v2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Municipal Airports Act, unless the text otherwise\n\nrequires:\n\n1. “Airport” means an area on land or water that is used, or\n\nintended to be used, for the landing and taking off of aircraft, and\n\nincludes its buildings and facilities, if any;\n\n2. “Air navigation facility” means any facility - other than\n\none owned and operated by the United States - used in, available for\n\nuse in, or designed for use in, aid of air navigation, including any\n\nstructures, mechanisms, lights, beacons, markers, communicating\n\nsystems, or other instrumentalities, or devices used or useful as an\n\naid, or constituting an advantage or convenience, to the safe taking\n\noff, navigation, and landing of aircraft, or the safe and efficient\n\noperation or maintenance of an airport, and any combination of any\n\nor all of such facilities;\n\n3. “Airport hazard” means any structure, object of natural\n\ngrowth, or use of land which obstructs the airspace required for the\n\nflight of aircraft in landing or taking off at an airport or is\n\notherwise hazardous to such landing or taking off of aircraft;\n\n4. “Helipad” means a small designated area, usually with a\n\nprepared surface, on a heliport, airport, landing or takeoff area,\n\napron or ramp, or movement area used for takeoff, landing or parking\n\nof helicopters;\n\n5. “Heliport” means an area of land, water or structure used or\n\nintended to be used for the landing and takeoff of helicopters and\n\nincludes its buildings and facilities, if any;\n\n6. “Municipality” means any county, city, or town of this\n\nstate. “Municipal” means pertaining to a municipality as herein\n\ndefined;\n\n7. “Person” means any individual, firm, partnership,\n\ncorporation, company, association, joint stock association, or body\n\npolitic; and includes any trustee, receiver, assignee or other\n\nsimilar representative thereof;\n\n8. “Vertiport” means an area of land, water, or structure used\n\nor intended to be used for the landing and takeoff of VTOL aircraft;\n\nand\n\n9. “VTOL aircraft” means an aircraft which has vertical takeoff\n\nand landing capability.","path":["OK Code","Title 3"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os3.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"588df8904fea725379366d6abb02fd0092cdf90c859af9fe4d4f97c9928ff5c5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-65.1v1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-65.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
