Stat. tit. 3, § 3-83","heading":"Purpose of act","body":"It is hereby declared that the purpose of this act is to further\n\nthe public interest in aeronautical progress:\n\n(a) by granting to a state agency such powers and imposing upon\n\nit such duties that the state may properly perform its functions\n\nrelative to aeronautics; effectively assist in the development of a\n\nstatewide system of airports, cooperate with and assist the\n\nmunicipalities of this state and others engaged in aeronautics, and\n\nencourage and develop aeronautics in all its phases in this state;\n\n(b) by providing for the protection of persons and property\n\nthrough the promotion of safety in aeronautics; and\n\n(c) by providing for cooperation with federal authorities in the\n\ndevelopment of a national system of civil aviation and for\n\ncoordination of the aeronautical activities of those authorities and\n\nthe authorities of this state by assisting in accomplishing the\n\npurposes of federal legislation and eliminating costly and\n\nunnecessary duplication of functions in the province of federal\n\nagencies.","path":["OK Code","Title 3"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os3.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5e6e05149a47d83cdfe26698d6603e0d7f9ade145e020701b7fa2151b43a0f5c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-82v2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-3-3-84"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
