If the minor is under the age of fourteen (14) years, the\n\ncourt may name and appoint his guardian. If the minor has attained\n\nthe age of fourteen (14) years, the minor may nominate his own\n\nguardian, who, if approved by the court, must be appointed\n\naccordingly.\n\nB. The court, in appointing a guardian for a minor, is to be\n\nguided by Section 112.5 of Title 43 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 6523.
