When the whole estate of a minor does not exceed the\n\nvalue of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), the court may, in its\n\ndiscretion, without the appointment of a guardian or the giving of\n\nbond, authorize and direct:\n\na. the delivery of the property or any portion thereof to\n\none or more custodians pursuant to the Oklahoma\n\nUniform Transfers to Minors Act or to one or more\n\nother custodians designated by the court, or\n\nb. the payment or delivery of the property or any portion\n\nthereof to the parent of the minor, or to the person\n\nhaving the care or custody of the minor, or to the\n\nminor. The person receiving the property shall pay\n\nnecessary expenses of the minor and hold, manage, and\n\ndispose of the property in the manner directed by the\n\ncourt.\n\n2. When the whole estate of a minor exceeds the value of Ten\n\nThousand Dollars ($10,000.00), the court may, in its discretion,\n\nwithout the appointment of a guardian or the giving of bond,\n\nauthorize and direct:\n\na. the delivery of property having a value of up to Ten\n\nThousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to one or more\n\ncustodians pursuant to the Oklahoma Uniform Transfers\n\nto Minors Act or to one or more other custodians\n\ndesignated by the court, or\n\nb. the payment or delivery of up to Ten Thousand Dollars\n\n($10,000.00) of the property or any portion thereof to\n\nthe parent of the minor, or to the person having the\n\ncare or custody of the minor, or to the minor. The\n\nperson receiving the property shall pay necessary\n\nexpenses of the minor and hold, manage, and dispose of\n\nthe property in the manner directed by the court.\n\nB. The person making payment, delivery, transfer or issuance of\n\nproperty or evidence thereof to the individual or custodian\n\ndesignated by the court pursuant to this section is discharged and\n\nreleased to the same extent as if payment, delivery, transfer, or\n\nissuance was made to a guardian of the minor, and the person is not\n\nrequired to see to the application thereof.
