Stat. tit. 30, § 30-3-114","heading":"Assignment of powers to limited guardian - Endorsement","body":"of limitation or specification of assets upon letters of\n\nguardianship.\n\nA. The court may assign to a limited guardian of the person any\n\nportion of the powers and duties of a general guardian of the person\n\nexcept the power to take custody of the person of the ward. The\n\ncourt may also assign to the limited guardian the duty to assist the\n\nward in those particular areas in which the capacity of the ward is\n\nimpaired including, but not limited to, the duty to assist the ward\n\nin:\n\n1. Meeting the requirements for his health or safety;\n\n2. Protecting his rights;\n\n3. Obtaining necessary services;\n\n4. Fulfilling his civic duties; and\n\n5. Any other areas as determined necessary by the court and\n\nwhich are not specifically prohibited by Section 56 of this act.\n\nB. An order specifying that only part of the property or estate\n\nof a ward is under the control or management of the guardian creates\n\na limited guardianship of the property.\n\n1. The court may assign to a limited guardian of property any\n\nof the duties and powers of a general guardian of the property\n\nregarding the management of financial resources which the partially\n\nincapacitated person lacks the capacity to perform; or\n\n2. The court may assign to a limited guardian of property the\n\nduty of assisting the ward to perform any of such functions with\n\nregard to any financial resource of the ward.\n\nC.
