A guardian or limited guardian of the person of an\n\nincapacitated or partially incapacitated person is responsible for\n\nthe care or control of the ward pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma Guardianship and Conservatorship Act, and the orders of the\n\ncourt, and the guardianship plan approved by the court and shall\n\nperform diligently and in good faith any specific duties and powers\n\nassigned by the court.\n\nB. 1. A guardian or limited guardian of the person of an\n\nincapacitated or partially incapacitated person shall:\n\na. become or remain sufficiently acquainted with the ward\n\nand maintain sufficient contact with the ward to know\n\nof the capacities, limitations, needs, opportunities,\n\nand physical and mental health of the ward;\n\nb. assure that the ward has a place of abode in the least\n\nrestrictive, most normal setting consistent with the\n\nrequirements for his health or safety; and\n\nc. provide any required consents or approvals on behalf\n\nof the ward as authorized by the court.\n\n2. A guardian or limited guardian of the person, if consistent\n\nwith the terms of an order of the court, may:\n\na. if no guardian of the property or conservator for the\n\nestate of the ward has been appointed, institute\n\nproceedings, including administrative proceedings, or\n\ntake other appropriate action to compel the\n\nperformance by any person of a duty to support the\n\nward or to pay sums for the welfare of the ward; and\n\nb. consent to routine or necessary medical or other\n\nprofessional care, treatment, or advice for the ward\n\nwithout liability by reason of the consent for injury\n\nto the ward resulting from the negligence or acts of\n\nthird persons unless a parent would have been liable\n\nin the circumstances.\n\nC.
