Stat. tit. 30, § 30-3-126","heading":"Estates of incapacitated or partially incapacitated","body":"persons not exceeding $10,000.00 - Disposition - Discharge and\n\nrelease.\n\nA. When the whole estate of an adult who has been adjudicated\n\nto be incapacitated or partially incapacitated does not exceed the\n\nvalue of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), the court may, in its\n\ndiscretion, without the appointment of a guardian or the giving of\n\nbond, authorize the deposit thereof in a depositary authorized to\n\nreceive fiduciary funds in the name of a suitable person designated\n\nby such court, or, if the assets do not consist of money, authorize\n\nthe delivery thereof to a suitable person designated by such court.\n\nThe person receiving such property shall hold and dispose of the\n\nsame in such manner as such court directs.\n\nB. The person making payment, delivery, transfer or issuance of\n\nproperty or evidence thereof to the person designated by such court\n\nunder this section is discharged and released to the same extent as\n\nif such payment, delivery, transfer or issuance was made to a\n\nguardian of the incapacitated or partially incapacitated person, and\n\nhe is not required to see to the application thereof.
