Stat. tit. 30, § 30-3-302","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective\n\nProceedings Jurisdiction Act:\n\n(1) “Adult” means an individual who has attained eighteen (18)\n\nyears of age;\n\n(2) “Conservator” means a person appointed by the court to\n\nadminister the property of an adult;\n\n(3) “Guardian” means a person appointed by the court to make\n\ndecisions regarding the person of an adult;\n\n(4) “Guardianship order” means an order appointing a guardian;\n\n(5) “Guardianship proceeding” means a judicial proceeding in\n\nwhich an order for the appointment of a guardian is sought or has\n\nbeen issued;\n\n(6) “Incapacitated person” means an adult for whom a guardian\n\nhas been appointed;\n\n(7) “Party” means the respondent, petitioner, guardian,\n\nconservator, or any other person allowed by the court to participate\n\nin a guardianship or protective proceeding;\n\n(8) “Person”, except in the term incapacitated person or\n\nprotected person, means an individual, corporation, business trust,\n\nestate, trust, partnership, limited liability company, association,\n\njoint venture, public corporation, government or governmental\n\nsubdivision, agency, or instrumentality, or any other legal or\n\ncommercial entity;\n\n(9) “Protected person” means an adult for whom a protective\n\norder has been issued;\n\n(10) “Protective order” means an order appointing a conservator\n\nor other order related to management of an adult’s property;\n\n(11) “Protective proceeding” means a judicial proceeding in\n\nwhich a protective order is sought or has been issued;\n\n(12) “Record” means information that is inscribed on a tangible\n\nmedium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is\n\nretrievable in perceivable form;\n\n(13) “Respondent” means an adult for whom a protective order or\n\nthe appointment of a guardian is sought; and\n\n(14) “State” means a state of the United States, the District\n\nof Columbia, Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, a\n\nfederally recognized Indian tribe, or any territory or insular\n\npossession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States.","path":["OK Code","Title 30"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os30.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d48f7b889bf87ec24966038a7558b065469e0c31129d470f9bf6f49825244b95","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-30-30-3-301","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-30-30-3-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
