Stat. tit. 30, § 30-3-304","heading":"Requests between courts in guardianship or protective","body":"proceedings.\n\n(a) In a guardianship or protective proceeding in this state, a\n\ncourt of this state may request the appropriate court of another\n\nstate to do any of the following:\n\n(1) Hold an evidentiary hearing;\n\n(2) Order a person in that state to produce evidence or give\n\ntestimony pursuant to procedures of that state;\n\n(3) Order that an evaluation or assessment be made of the\n\nrespondent;\n\n(4) Order any appropriate investigation of a person involved in\n\na proceeding;\n\n(5) Forward to the court of this state a certified copy of the\n\ntranscript or other record of a hearing under paragraph (1) of this\n\nsubsection or any other proceeding, any evidence otherwise produced\n\nunder paragraph (2) of this subsection, and any evaluation or\n\nassessment prepared in compliance with an order under paragraph (3)\n\nor (4) of this subsection;\n\n(6) Issue any order necessary to assure the appearance in the\n\nproceeding of a person whose presence is necessary for the court to\n\nmake a determination, including the respondent or the incapacitated\n\nor protected person;\n\n(7) Issue an order authorizing the release of medical,\n\nfinancial, criminal, or other relevant information in that state,\n\nincluding protected health information as defined in 45 C.F.R.\n\nSection 164.504, as amended.\n\n(b) If a court of another state in which a guardianship or\n\nprotective proceeding is pending requests assistance of the kind\n\nprovided in subsection (a) of this section, a court of this state\n\nhas jurisdiction for the limited purpose of granting the request or\n\nmaking reasonable efforts to comply with the request.","path":["OK Code","Title 30"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os30.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"1b5508055b61bd9bc14a9a3bc83eb217642094c394d109eabd457518c10daef8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-30-30-3-303","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-30-30-3-305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
