Stat. tit. 30, § 30-4-103","heading":"Disqualification by financial relations with judge of","body":"district court - Removal of ineligible guardians - Liability for\n\ncontinuing to act - Removal of judge.\n\nNo natural person shall be eligible to act as guardian of an\n\nestate under the jurisdiction of any judge of the district court, if\n\nsaid judge of the district court is under any financial obligation\n\nwhatsoever to such person. If any judge of the district court,\n\nwhile holding the office of judge of the district court, becomes\n\npecuniarily liable to any guardian of any minor or incapacitated or\n\npartially incapacitated person, such liability shall operate to\n\ndisqualify such guardian. It is hereby made the duty of the judge\n\nof the district court to enter on the court docket such\n\ndisqualifying conditions. The disqualification shall also apply if\n\nsuch person, except a parent who is guardian of his or her own child\n\nor children has rendered financial aid to said judge, in securing\n\nhis nomination and election to the office of judge of the district\n\ncourt, or his appointment as judge of the district court. Persons\n\nwho have heretofore been appointed guardians, who are not eligible\n\nto act under this section shall be by the judge of the district\n\ncourt removed and successors appointed, as provided by law. If any\n\nperson not eligible to act under this section continues to act as\n\nguardian, after such ineligibility has been legally determined, such\n\nperson and the surety upon his bond shall be liable to the estate of\n\nthe minor or incapacitated or partially incapacitated person for all\n\nmoney unlawfully paid by such ineligible guardian out of the estate\n\nof such minor or incapacitated or partially incapacitated person,\n\nand if a judge of the district court knowingly permits an ineligible\n\nperson to act, he shall be removed from office.","path":["OK Code","Title 30"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os30.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4a40b3b230a06829d104d4d8f912d33ab1498e4e4792af7019f716ca426d26e8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-30-30-4-102","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-30-30-4-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
