Stat. tit. 30, § 30-4-706","heading":"Maintenance and support of ward - Credit on settlement -","body":"Payment of third person furnishing necessaries on guardian's\n\nrefusal.\n\nWhen a guardian has advanced for the necessary maintenance,\n\nsupport and education of his ward, an amount not disproportionate to\n\nthe value of the estate or condition of life of the ward and the\n\nsame is made to appear to the satisfaction of the court, by proper\n\nsupporting documents and proofs, the guardian must be allowed credit\n\ntherefor in his settlement. Whenever a guardian fails, neglects, or\n\nrefuses to furnish suitable and necessary maintenance, support or\n\neducation for his ward, the court may order the guardian to do so\n\nand enforce such order by proper process. Whenever any third\n\nperson, at the request of the ward, supplies a ward with such\n\nsuitable and necessary maintenance, support or education which is\n\nshown to have been done after refusal or neglect of the guardian to\n\nsupply the same, the court may direct the guardian to pay therefor\n\nout of the estate of the ward, and may enforce such payment by due\n\nprocess.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 6545.
