Stat. tit. 34, § 34-23","heading":"Who may sign petitions and vote - Penalties","body":"Every person who is a qualified elector of the State of Oklahoma\n\nmay sign a petition for the referendum or for the initiative for any\n\nmeasure upon which he is legally entitled to vote. Any person\n\nsigning any name other than his own to any petition, or knowingly\n\nsigning his name more than once for the same measure at one\n\nelection, or who is not at the time of signing the same a legal\n\nvoter of this state, or whoever falsely makes or willfully destroys\n\na petition or any part thereof, or who signs or files any\n\ncertificate or petition knowing the same or any part thereof to be\n\nfalsely made, or suppresses any certificate or petition or any part\n\nthereof which has been duly filed or who shall violate any provision\n\nof this statute, or who shall aid or abet any other person in doing\n\nany of said acts; and any person violating any provision of this\n\nchapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of a Class D3\n\nfelony offense and shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding Five\n\nHundred Dollars ($500.00), or by imprisonment as provided for in\n\nsubsections B through F of Section 20P of Title 21 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes, or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of\n\nthe court before which such conviction shall be had.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 3392.
