For the purposes of carrying out the Nonadmitted and\n\nReinsurance Reform Act of 2010, the Insurance Commissioner is\n\nauthorized in the Insurance Commissioner's sole discretion and\n\njudgment to enter into the Nonadmitted Insurance Multi-State\n\nAgreement or any other multistate agreement or compact with the same\n\nfunction and purpose, in order to:\n\n1. Facilitate the collection, allocation and disbursement of\n\npremium taxes attributable to the placement of nonadmitted insurance\n\nthrough a central clearinghouse;\n\n2. Provide for uniform methods of allocation and reporting\n\namong nonadmitted insurance risk classifications through a central\n\nclearinghouse; and\n\n3. Share information among states relating to nonadmitted\n\ninsurance premium taxes.\n\nB. The Insurance Commissioner is not compelled now or in the\n\nfuture to join the Nonadmitted Insurance Multi-State Agreement or\n\nany other multistate agreement or compact with the same function and\n\npurpose of distributing surplus line premium tax proceeds based on a\n\nformula of multistate risk allocation, unless the Insurance\n\nCommissioner, in his or her discretion, deems joining such a\n\nmultistate compact or agreement is in the best interest of the State\n\nof Oklahoma and its citizens.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"cb7802aa0146133641da5d0fb3680f83c8b1cec186916a2535c3f517f1dd6921","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-1100.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-1101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
