Stat. tit. 36, § 36-1140","heading":"Definitions - Licensing - Application - Duration of","body":"license.\n\nA. “Advisory organization” means a corporation, an\n\nunincorporated association, a partnership or an individual, whether\n\nlocated inside or outside of this state, organized and licensed for\n\nthe purpose of making rates, loss costs, rating plans, statistical\n\ncollection, furnishing statistical data, policy forms and\n\nendorsements or rating systems.\n\nB. The term “advisory organization” shall be synonymous with\n\nthe terms “bureau”, “statistical agent” and “rating organization”.\n\nC. No advisory organization shall provide any service relating\n\nto the loss costs, rates, rating plans, manual rules, rating systems\n\nor policy forms of any property and casualty insurance products\n\nsubject to the provisions of the Oklahoma Insurance Code and no\n\ninsurer shall utilize the services of such organization unless the\n\norganization has obtained a license.\n\nD. No advisory organization shall refuse to supply any services\n\nfor which it is licensed in this state to any insurer authorized to\n\ndo business in this state and offering to pay the usual compensation\n\nfor the services.\n\nE. 1. An advisory organization applying for a license shall\n\ninclude with its application:\n\na. a copy of its constitution, charter, articles of\n\norganization, agreement, association or incorporation,\n\nand a copy of its bylaws, plan of operation and any\n\nother rules or regulations governing the conduct of\n\nits business,\n\nb. a list of its members and subscribers,\n\nc. the name and address of one or more residents of this\n\nstate upon whom notices, process affecting it, or\n\norders of the Insurance Commissioner may be served,\n\nd. a statement showing its technical qualifications for\n\nacting in the capacity for which it seeks a license,\n\ne. a biography of the ownership and management of the\n\norganization, and\n\nf. any other relevant information and documents that the\n\nCommissioner may require.\n\n2. Every organization which has applied for a license shall\n\nnotify the Commissioner of every material change in the facts or in\n\nthe documents on which its application was based. Any amendment to\n\na document filed under this section shall be filed at least thirty\n\n(30) days before it becomes effective.\n\n3. If the Commissioner finds that the applicant and the natural\n\npersons through whom it acts are competent, trustworthy and\n\ntechnically qualified to provide the services proposed, and that all\n\nrequirements of the law are met, the Commissioner shall issue a\n\nlicense specifying the authorized activity of the applicant. The\n\nCommissioner shall not issue a license if the proposed activity\n\nwould tend to create a monopoly or to substantially lessen the\n\ncompetition in the market.\n\n4. Licenses issued pursuant to this section shall remain in\n\nforce for one (1) year unless suspended or revoked.
