Every property and casualty insurer, within thirty (30) days\n\nafter receiving notification of a claim, shall acknowledge the\n\nreceipt of such notification unless payment is made within such\n\nperiod of time. If an acknowledgement is made by means other than\n\nwriting, an appropriate notation of such acknowledgement shall be\n\nmade in the claim file of the property and casualty insurer, and\n\ndated. Notification given to an agent of a property and casualty\n\ninsurer shall be notification to the insurer.\n\nB. Every property and casualty insurer, upon receiving\n\nnotification of a claim, promptly shall provide necessary claim\n\nforms, instruction, and reasonable assistance so that first party\n\nclaimants can comply with the policy conditions and the reasonable\n\nrequirements of the property and casualty insurer.
