Stat. tit. 36, § 36-1272","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this act:\n\n1. “Administrative charges” shall include, but not be limited\n\nto, the cost of:\n\na. file creation,\n\nb. repair orders,\n\nc. vehicle travel on a customary standard drivable\n\nrolling vehicle,\n\nd. vehicle identification,\n\ne. software charges,\n\nf. communication with vehicle owners and insurance\n\nrepresentatives and any other party involved in the\n\nrepair or total loss determination,\n\ng. prewashes,\n\nh. COVID-19 cleaning or bio-cleaning,\n\ni. charges related to photographs and electronic\n\ncommunications,\n\nj. charges for work that is not for obtaining labor,\n\nparts, and materials,\n\nk. securing removed parts, and\n\nl. relocating parts back into a vehicle determined to be\n\na total loss;\n\n2. “Auto body repair” means all auto body repair shop repairs,\n\nmaintenance, painting, exterior body work, part replacements,\n\nassessment, and diagnostic testing provided to an insurance company\n\nto determine a motor vehicle total loss;\n\n3. “Auto body repair shop” means any commercial entity engaged\n\nin the business or occupation of performing auto body repairs on the\n\nbody of a motor vehicle;\n\n4. “Insurance company” means the person or entity responsible\n\nfor charges incurred by the insured at an auto body repair shop as a\n\nresult of repairs or charges incurred in determining a total loss of\n\na motor vehicle as provided for in Section 1250.8 of Title 36 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes;\n\n5. “Motor vehicle” means the same as defined in Section 1-134\n\nof Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n6. “Owner” means the owner of the vehicle; and\n\n7. “Storage rates” means all charges and fees related to the\n\nauto body repair shop retaining actual physical possession of a\n\nmotor vehicle during the time when the auto body repair shop\n\nexercises control, supervision, care, security, protection, and\n\nresponsibility over the motor vehicle.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5983d035b31bdbd89afc5592fa9523c933f3e34c6e58be95973954ec4a386007","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-1271","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-1273"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
