An insurance company or insurance producer shall not pay a\n\ncommission, service fee, brokerage or other valuable consideration\n\nto a person for selling, soliciting or negotiating insurance in this\n\nstate if that person is required to be licensed under this act and\n\nis not so licensed.\n\nB. A person shall not accept a commission, service fee,\n\nbrokerage or other valuable consideration for selling, soliciting or\n\nnegotiating insurance in this state if that person is required to be\n\nlicensed under this act and is not so licensed.\n\nC. Renewal or other deferred commissions may be paid to a\n\nperson for selling, soliciting or negotiating insurance in this\n\nstate if the person was required to be licensed under this act at\n\nthe time of the sale, solicitation or negotiation and was so\n\nlicensed at that time.\n\nD.
