Stat. tit. 36, § 36-1435.7","heading":"Applications for resident and business entity insurance","body":"producer licenses - Requirements for approval.\n\nA. A person applying for a resident insurance producer license\n\nshall make application to the Insurance Commissioner on the Uniform\n\nApplication or an application approved by the Commissioner and\n\ndeclare under penalty of refusal, suspension or revocation of the\n\nlicense that the statements made in the application are true,\n\ncorrect and complete to the best of the individual's knowledge and\n\nbelief. Before approving the application, the Insurance\n\nCommissioner shall find that the individual:\n\n1. Is at least eighteen (18) years of age;\n\n2. Has not committed any act that is a ground for denial,\n\nsuspension or revocation set forth in Section 1435.13 of this title;\n\n3. Has paid the fees set forth in Section 1435.23 of this\n\ntitle; and\n\n4. Has successfully passed the examinations for the lines of\n\nauthority for which the person has applied.\n\nB. A business entity acting as an insurance producer is\n\nrequired to obtain an insurance producer license. Application shall\n\nbe made using the Uniform Business Entity Application or an\n\napplication approved by the Commissioner. Before approving the\n\napplication, the Insurance Commissioner shall find that:\n\n1. The business entity has paid the fees set forth in Section\n\n1435.23 of this title;\n\n2. The business entity has designated a licensed producer\n\nresponsible for the business entity's compliance with the insurance\n\nlaws, rules and regulations of this state;\n\n3. A domestic business entity is organized pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of the laws of this state and maintains its principal\n\nplace of business in this state; and\n\n4. No person whose license as an insurance producer has been\n\nrevoked by order of the Commissioner, nor any business entity in\n\nwhich such person has a majority ownership interest, whether direct\n\nor indirect, owns any interest in the business entity licensed as an\n\ninsurance producer.\n\nC. An applicant for any license required by the provisions of\n\nthe Oklahoma Producer Licensing Act shall demonstrate to the\n\nInsurance Commissioner that the applicant is competent, trustworthy,\n\nfinancially responsible, and of good personal and business\n\nreputation.\n\nD.
