The business and functions of the Oklahoma Property and\n\nCasualty Insurance Guaranty Association shall be managed and\n\nadministered by a board of twelve (12) directors composed of\n\ndomestic, foreign and alien insurers who are member insurers,\n\nincluding a minimum of two domestic insurers, and two insurance\n\nagents who shall serve as ex officio members. In determining\n\ncandidates to fill the member insurer positions, the board shall\n\nconsider whether all insurers are fairly represented, including\n\nworkers' compensation insurers and other property and casualty\n\ninsurers. One of the ex officio members shall be the Executive\n\nDirector of the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma, Inc.; the\n\nother ex officio member shall be a licensed, resident property and\n\ncasualty insurance agent chosen by the Governor. Each member of the\n\nboard of directors shall designate a full-time salaried employee to\n\nrepresent it on the board of directors. Each member except for the\n\nex officio members shall serve for a term of two (2) years. The ex\n\nofficio member who is appointed by the Governor shall serve at the\n\npleasure of the Governor. Each appointed member insurer\n\nrepresentative may designate an alternate representative to\n\nrepresent the insurer at any meeting of the board. Any person\n\nserving as an alternate representative shall, while serving, have\n\nall the powers and responsibilities of the appointed insurer\n\nrepresentative. The members of the board of directors except for\n\nthe ex officio members shall be subject to approval by the Insurance\n\nCommissioner. Vacancies on the board except for the ex officio\n\nmembers shall be filled for the remaining period of the term by a\n\nmajority vote of the remaining board members, subject to the\n\napproval of the Commissioner.\n\nB. In approving selections to the board, the Commissioner shall\n\nconsider, among other things, whether all member insurers are fairly\n\nrepresented.\n\nC.
