Stat. tit. 36, § 36-2111","heading":"Initial qualification, domestic mutuals","body":"When newly organized, a domestic mutual insurer may be\n\nauthorized to transact any one or more kinds of insurance other than\n\ntitle insurance. When applying for an original certificate of\n\nauthority as an insurer, a domestic mutual insurer must be otherwise\n\nqualified therefor under this code, must possess and maintain the\n\nminimum requirements for surplus in regard to policyholders as set\n\nforth in Sections 610 and 611 of this code, and must have received\n\nand accepted bona fide applications with respect to substantial\n\ninsurable subjects for insurance coverage of a substantial character\n\nof the kind of insurance proposed to be transacted, must have\n\ncollected in full and in cash the proper premium therefor at a rate\n\nsubstantially equal to that usually charged by stock insurers for\n\ncomparable coverages, must have surplus funds on hand as at\n\ncompletion of issuance of all such policies so applied for, or, in\n\nlieu of such applications, premiums, and surplus, may deposit\n\nsurplus, all in accordance with the requirements set forth in\n\nSections 610 and 611 of this code.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"36fe28d818c7bb4a408f4c1a205ac8c771e12df218be800f34d2410c48385cfd","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-2110","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-2112"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
