Stat. tit. 36, § 36-2503","heading":"Certificate of authority to do business - Deposit of","body":"securities with State Treasurer.\n\nNo such corporation, company or association shall commence the\n\nbusiness of insurance until the Insurance Commissioner shall have\n\ncertified that it has complied with the provisions of this article,\n\nand is authorized to transact the business of insurance; provided,\n\nhowever, that every corporation incorporating or reincorporating\n\nunder the provisions of this article shall deposit with the\n\nCommissioner securities in which insurance companies are allowed by\n\nlaw to invest, subject to the approval of the Insurance\n\nCommissioner, a sum not less than Twenty Thousand Dollars\n\n($20,000.00), before it shall commence business. The sum shall be\n\na part of the insurance fund and an asset of the corporation.
