Stat. tit. 36, § 36-2504","heading":"Companies to which applicable; application of other laws;","body":"use of term \"stipulated premium\".\n\nAny corporation, company or association issuing policies or\n\ncertificates promising money or other benefits to a member or\n\npolicyholder, or, upon his decease, to his legal representatives, or\n\nto beneficiaries designated by him, which money or benefit is\n\nderived from stipulated premiums collected in advance from its\n\nmembers or policyholders, and from interest and other accumulations,\n\nand wherein the money or other benefits so realized is applied to or\n\naccumulated solely for the use and purposes of the corporation as\n\nherein specified, and for the necessary expenses of the corporation,\n\nand the prosecution and enlargement of its business and which shall\n\ncomply with all the provisions of this article, shall be deemed to\n\nbe engaged in the business of life insurance and accident and health\n\ninsurance upon the stipulated premium plan.
