Stat. tit. 36, § 36-2621","heading":"Selection of licensed psychologist or licensed and","body":"certified clinical social worker - Definitions.\n\nA. If the terms of any plan, agreement, or service contract,\n\nissued under the provisions of this article, cover services within\n\nthe lawful scope of practice of a licensed psychologist, or licensed\n\nand certified clinical social worker then:\n\n1. Such services may be performed by any person licensed to do\n\nso in this state as provided in subsection B of this section.\n\n2. Selection of such a psychologist or social worker may be\n\nmade by a subscriber under the plan, agreement or service contract\n\nand, provided other conditions are met, reimbursement shall not be\n\ndenied when service is rendered by a person so licensed.\n\n3. The provisions of this section shall apply to the plans,\n\nagreements, or service contracts which are delivered, amended,\n\nrenewed, ratified, or issued for delivery in Oklahoma after October\n\n1, 1982.\n\n4. Any provision, exclusion, or limitation of a plan,\n\nagreement, or service contract that denies an insured the privilege\n\nof selecting such a psychologist or social worker shall, to the\n\nextent of the denial, be void, but such void provision shall not\n\naffect the validity of the other provisions of the plan, agreement,\n\nor service contract.\n\nB. For purposes of this section:\n\n1. \"Licensed psychologist\" means a person licensed and\n\ncomplying with the Psychologists Licensing Act, Sections 1351\n\nthrough 1375 of Title 59 of the Oklahoma Statutes; and\n\n2. \"Licensed and certified clinical social worker\" means a\n\nperson licensed and complying with the Social Workers' Licensing\n\nAct, Sections 1250.1 (3) and 1261.1 (B) of Title 59 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"785a28db47f60c969591a2f858278dd04b577243e8df301bedb8ec7c034da6dc","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-2619","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-2622"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
