Stat. tit. 36, § 36-2704.1","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this article:\n\n1. \"Benefit contract\" means the agreement for provision of\n\nbenefits authorized by Section 16 of this act, as that agreement is\n\ndescribed in subsection A of Section 19 of this act;\n\n2. \"Benefit member\" means an adult member who is designated by\n\nthe laws or rules of the society to be a benefit member under a\n\nbenefit contract;\n\n3. \"Certificate\" means the document issued as written evidence\n\nof the benefit contract;\n\n4. \"Laws\" means the society's articles of incorporation,\n\nconstitution and bylaws, however designated;\n\n5. \"Lodge\" means subordinate member units of the society, known\n\nas camps, courts, councils, branches or by any other designation;\n\n6. \"Premiums\" means premiums, rates, dues or other required\n\ncontributions by whatever name known, which are payable under the\n\ncertificate;\n\n7. \"Rules\" means all rules, regulations or resolutions adopted\n\nby the supreme governing body or board of directors which are\n\nintended to have general application to the members of the society;\n\nand\n\n8. \"Society\" means fraternal benefit society, unless otherwise\n\nindicated.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"06778c04711a8113beb2c469041cffb23c3f10e94ec4e42f6d5034eea09418cb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-2703.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-2705.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
