Stat. tit. 36, § 36-2723.1","heading":"Exemptions","body":"The provisions of this act apply only to fraternal benefit\n\nsocieties, and societies shall be governed by this act to the extent\n\nprovided herein. Societies shall be exempt from all other\n\nprovisions of the insurance laws of this state except that the\n\nprovisions of Article 1 (Scope of Title), Article 3 (Insurance\n\nDepartment and Insurance Commissioner), Sections 606, 610, 612.1,\n\n616, 617, 620 and 628 of Article 6 (Authorization of Insurers and\n\nGeneral Requirements), Article 16 (Investments), Article 17\n\n(Administration of Deposits), and Article 19 (Rehabilitation and\n\nLiquidation), of the Insurance Code, shall apply to societies to the\n\nextent that such provisions are not in conflict with the provisions\n\nof this article.
