Stat. tit. 36, § 36-2931","heading":"Real estate transactions - Restrictions","body":"A reciprocal insurer, as defined in Section 2902 of Title 36 of\n\nthe Oklahoma Statutes, may purchase, receive, own, hold, lease,\n\nmortgage, pledge, or encumber, by deed of trust or otherwise,\n\nmanage, or sell real property in its own name for the purposes and\n\nobjects of such insurer, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1624\n\nof Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statutes. Any contract, deed, lease,\n\nmortgage, deed of trust, purchase or sale agreement, or any other\n\ncontract, document or instrument to be executed in the name of the\n\nreciprocal insurer may be executed by the attorney-in-fact for the\n\ninsurer, as defined in Section 2906 of Title 36 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. This provision shall apply to any contract, deed, lease,\n\nmortgage, deed of trust, purchase or sale agreement, or any other\n\ncontract, document or instrument made and entered into by any\n\nreciprocal insurer on and after September 1, 1990.\n\nA reciprocal insurer doing business in this state shall be\n\nsubject to the same restrictions pertaining to ownership of real\n\nproperty and other real estate transactions that exist for\n\ncorporations pursuant to Section 2 of Article XXII of the Oklahoma\n\nConstitution.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fd1257f952c41a9efd5c53dc335a44ceff3eddaeea3c12a58b54a3e32db5227f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-2930","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-3001"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
