Stat. tit. 36, § 36-3010","heading":"Actions on policies or insurance contracts – Process –","body":"Judgment - Costs.\n\nAction on any policy or contract of insurance issued by an\n\nattorney for the underwriters may be brought against the attorney.\n\nIn such action, summons and process shall be served on either the\n\nInsurance Commissioner or on the attorney-in-fact, and when so\n\nserved shall have the same effect as if served on the attorney and\n\non each underwriter personally. A judgment in any such action\n\nagainst the attorney shall be binding upon and be judgment against\n\neach and all of the underwriters as their several liabilities may\n\nappear in the contract of insurance on which the action is brought.\n\nAnd such summons or other process shall be served in triplicate,\n\nand the Insurance Commissioner shall forthwith, by registered mail,\n\nsend one copy thereof to the attorney for the underwriters at the\n\nprincipal office designated in the application for license or latest\n\namendment thereof.
