Stat. tit. 36, § 36-311A.12","heading":"Accountant letter to insurer - Contents","body":"The accountant shall furnish the insurer in connection with, and\n\nfor inclusion in, the filing of the annual audited financial report,\n\na letter stating:\n\n1. That the accountant is independent with respect to the\n\ninsurer and conforms to the standards of the profession as contained\n\nin the Code of Professional Ethics and pronouncements of the\n\nAmerican Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the\n\nRules of Professional Conduct of the Oklahoma Board of Public\n\nAccountancy, or similar code;\n\n2. The background and experience in general, and the experience\n\nin audits of insurers of the staff assigned to the engagement and\n\nwhether each is an independent certified public accountant. Nothing\n\nwithin the Oklahoma Annual Financial Report Act shall be construed\n\nas prohibiting the accountant from utilizing such staff as the\n\naccountant deems appropriate where use is consistent with the\n\nstandards prescribed by generally accepted auditing standards;\n\n3. That the accountant understands the annual audited financial\n\nreport and the opinion of the accountant thereon will be filed in\n\ncompliance with the Oklahoma Annual Financial Report Act and that\n\nthe Insurance Commissioner will be relying on this information in\n\nthe monitoring and regulation of the financial position of insurers;\n\n4. That the accountant consents to the requirements of Section\n\n311A.13 of this title and that the accountant consents and agrees to\n\nmake available for review by the Commissioner the work papers, as\n\ndefined in Section 311A.13 of this title;\n\n5. A representation that the accountant is properly licensed by\n\nan appropriate state licensing authority and is a member in good\n\nstanding in the AICPA; and\n\n6.
