Stat. tit. 36, § 36-335","heading":"Conflicts of interest - Exceptions","body":"No employee of the Insurance Department shall be financially\n\ninterested, directly or indirectly, in any insurer, agency or\n\ninsurance transaction except as a policyholder or claimant under a\n\npolicy; except, that as to such matters wherein a conflict of\n\ninterest does not exist on the part of any such individual, the\n\nInsurance Commissioner may employ from time to time insurance\n\nactuaries or other technicians who are independently practicing\n\ntheir professions even though similarly employed by insurers and\n\nothers. This section shall not be deemed to prohibit employment by\n\nthe Insurance Commissioner of retired or pensioned personnel of\n\ninsurers or insurance organizations.
