No insurance contract on property or of any interest therein\n\nor arising therefrom shall be enforceable as to the insurance except\n\nfor the benefit of persons having an insurable interest in the\n\nthings insured.\n\nB. \"Insurable interest\" as used in this section means any\n\nactual, lawful, and substantial economic interest in the safety or\n\npreservation of the subject of the insurance free from loss,\n\ndestruction, or pecuniary damage or impairment.\n\nC.
