Insurance contracts shall contain such standard provisions\n\nas are required by the applicable provisions of this Code pertaining\n\nto contracts of particular kinds of insurance. The Insurance\n\nCommissioner may waive the required use of a particular standard\n\nprovision in a particular insurance policy form if:\n\n1. The Commissioner finds such provision unnecessary for the\n\nprotection of the insured and inconsistent with the purpose of the\n\npolicy; and\n\n2. The policy is otherwise approved.\n\nB. No policy shall contain any provision inconsistent with or\n\ncontradictory to any standard provision used or required to be used,\n\nbut the Insurance Commissioner may approve any substitute provision\n\nwhich is not less favorable in any particular to the insured or\n\nbeneficiary than the standard provisions or optional standard\n\nprovisions otherwise required.\n\nC. In lieu of the standard provisions required by the\n\nprovisions of this Code for contracts for particular kinds of\n\ninsurance, substantially similar standard provisions required by the\n\nlaw of the domicile of a foreign or alien insurer may be used when\n\napproved by the Insurance Commissioner.\n\nD.
