Stat. tit. 36, § 36-3627","heading":"Minor may give acquittance","body":"Any minor domiciled in this state who has attained the age of\n\nsixteen (16) years shall be deemed competent to receive and to give\n\nfull acquittance and discharge for a payment or payments in\n\naggregate amount not exceeding Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) in\n\nany one (1) year made by a life insurer as benefits payable to such\n\nminor in compliance with the provisions of an insurance policy,\n\nannuity contract or settlement agreement.
