Stat. tit. 36, § 36-4017","heading":"Grace period; annuities","body":"In an annuity or pure endowment contract, other than a\n\nreversionary, survivorship or group annuity, there shall be a\n\nprovision that there shall be a period of grace of one (1) month,\n\nbut not less than thirty (30) days, within which any stipulated\n\npayment to the insurer falling due after the first may be made,\n\nsubject at the option of the insurer to an interest charge thereon\n\nat a rate to be specified in the contract but not exceeding six\n\npercent (6%) per annum for the number of days of grace elapsing\n\nbefore such payment, during which period of grace the contract shall\n\ncontinue in full force; but in case a claim arises under the\n\ncontract on account of death prior to expiration of the period of\n\ngrace before the overdue payment to the insurer or the deferred\n\npayments of the current contract year, if any, are made, the amount\n\nof such payments, with interest on any overdue payments, may be\n\ndeducted from any amount payable under the contract in settlement.","path":["OK Code","Title 36"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os36.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"486da8b6e5f6fcc6b2490330ba6d452127dcbc91ea12396958bf528572f2c380","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-4016","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-36-36-4018"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
