If the Insurance Commissioner or an independent hearing\n\nexaminer finds that a violation of this act has occurred, the\n\nInsurance Commissioner shall enforce compliance with this act by\n\nsending a letter by certified mail, return receipt requested,\n\ndemanding that the charitable organization comply with this act. If\n\nthe charitable organization fails to comply with the demand within\n\nthirty (30) days of receipt of the letter, the charitable\n\norganization may be censured by the Insurance Commissioner or may be\n\nsubject to a civil fine of not less than One Thousand Dollars\n\n($1,000.00) but not more than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00)\n\nuntil such time as the charitable organization brings itself into\n\ncompliance with this act.\n\nB. If the Insurance Commissioner or an independent hearing\n\nexaminer finds that the violation or threatened violation of this\n\nact is willful and is substantially injurious to the public, the\n\nCommissioner may file an action in district court to prevent,\n\nrestrain or enjoin such violation or threatened violation.\n\nC.
