Stat. tit. 36, § 36-4403.1","heading":"Definition of limited benefit insurance policy","body":"A. 1. \"Limited benefit insurance\" means a policy or contract\n\ndesigned to be purchased individually or to supplement major medical\n\naccident and health insurance and which only provides coverage that\n\nis less than the minimum standard for benefits required under basic\n\nhospital expense coverage or basic medical-surgical expense\n\ncoverage.\n\n2. A limited benefit insurance policy or contract may specify a\n\nwaiting period for coverage, maximum benefits, maximum length of\n\ncoverage, and an exact definition of the disease covered.\n\nB.
